Durham, North Carolina!

This post is sponsored by the Durham Convention & Visitors Bureau, but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

Hey y’all! Caroline and I have been on the road for almost a month now and we’ve travelled from Asheville all the way to DC, Philly and New York! I’m currently writing from my friend’s house in Boston and while the travel has been amazing, I’m super pumped for us to get back to North Carolina. Durham, in particular.

Why Durham?

Why? First of all the beer scene there is off the hook. Durham hosts the World Beer Festival and is also home to two of my favorite breweries: Ponysaurus and Fullsteam Brewery. If you’re into craft beer, these are just a few of the options to choose from.

If beer’s not your thing, no worries. The food scene is awesome too. Southern Living magazine called Durham the Tastiest Town in the South and Bon Appétit named it America’s Foodiest Small Town. We’ve been dying to try Lantern which is described as a mixture of both Asian flavors and locally sourced North Carolina ingredients.

Still not convinced? There are 17 museums to choose from, tons of hiking and biking trails, a minor league baseball team, tons of shopping and even attractions related to history for those of you who want to learn a little about the past while adventuring.

What are you waiting for?

Be sure to check out the coffeeshop called Cocoa Cinnamon which is pictured in the top right hand corner and the street art at 211 Rigsbee which is home to the ad agency and creatives at The Republik. If you love to Instagram, this city is well worth your time. I found tons of things worth shooting pictures of and am already psyched to go back!
