Inspired by Prolyfyck Run Crew out of Charlottesville, Virginia, in the summer of 2022, Erin McGrady, a Queer Korean American, started a safe space run club in Asheville called Asheville Run Crew. The group started with just a few friends who met each Friday morning at a different location around Asheville for a handful of morning miles. After a year or so, we wanted to share that Friday morning feeling with others and so our community pop up runs and walks were born. Since 2023 we’ve held 7 community runs and are looking forward to more. We’re aiming for one a season.

Walkers are welcome and will have their own separate route that meets back up with the runners. There is always a group photo at the end because representation matters!
This is not a race nor a competition. It’s about building community and sharing space and time together.

ASHEVILLE RUN CREW WAIVER INFORMATION
A waiver is required for all Asheville Run Crew participants prior to participating.
Your cooperation helps us keep this event FREE and ongoing.
There is a waiver for Adults and a different one for Minors (18 and Under).
The same waiver is used for runners and walkers, you fill it out based on age.
A parent or guardian must accompany anyone 18 or Under for the entirety of the event. In other words, you must run or walk with your child.
Please fill out one waiver per calendar year.
Not sure if you filled one out already, please just submit another one.
