We recently travelled to Durham, North Carolina on a press trip for DapperQ. Click here for the article and photos about our adventure! We’re so thrilled to share it with you because we have lots of love for this city just a few hours east of Asheville.
Also, we broke down. Again.
Currently we’re broken down in the tiny town of Angola, Indiana. Our Chinook died yesterday on the side of Interstate 80, heading west to Madison. We’d left Cleveland about an hour and a half before that and it was AWESOME (more on that trip later) but then we realized Caroline’s laptop wasn’t with us. So we backtracked to look for it (no luck…) and then headed west again. Our spirits were already down in the dumps because of the missing laptop when the lights on the dash told us we had a problem. About an hour later, AAA came to the rescue and we were in that old familiar position of being up in a tow truck.
Now what?
Fast forward to this morning: we had a nice little run around the campus of Trine University and a good breakfast at the restaurant near our hotel. Bellies full, we’re loading up our belongings and waiting for the mechanic’s shuttle to pick us up.
Will we make it to Madison?! We were supposed to arrive last night for another press trip. Now all of that’s in the air. We’re about 5 hours away so a lot will depend on what kind of news we get from our mechanic. Stay tuned. Until then go give our article on DapperQ a read!
With love from the midwest,
