Did you know there are 26 tunnels on the Blue Ridge Parkway? 25 of them are in North Carolina and one is located in Virginia. Most of the work was done in the 1930’s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. This tunnels is called the Young Pisgah Ridge tunnel and it’s 400 feet long. Want to visit it yourself? It’s located at mile marker 403.0 in North Carolina, about a 25 minute drive from Asheville.
