Best Places to Eat Breakfast in Asheville, NC

Start the day out right!

Breakfast is one of our favorite meals. Luckily in Asheville, we have a ton of places to choose from. Listed below, in no particular order, is what we think are the best breakfast places to eat breakfast in Asheville.

West Asheville

Hole Doughnuts
Caroline founded Hole Doughnuts a couple years ago so maybe we’re a little biased when we say it’s our favorite to go for breakfast. Still it’s been written up in Bon Appetit (they named it Best Dessert in the Country in 2016!) National Geographic, Garden and Gun and even the Huffington Post. Come and see for yourself what it’s all about. Try all of the flavors, they’re fried to order!

West End Bakery
If you’re undecided on what to order, get the Sausage Egg and Cheese Biscuit at the West End Bakery. The biscuit is big and tender and rich (everything you want in a biscuit, right?) and the sausage has just the tiniest bit of sweet and spice to it. It’s served crispy, too. You’ll be licking your fingers. Considering getting a second to go for lunch!

Sunny Point Cafe
The goat cheese in the huevos rancheros is delicious and the chorizo is rendered down and crispy. It’s the perfect combination of crunchy, smooth, creamy, salty and smoky … need we say more? When friends come to town this is often where we take ’em.

Biscuithead
Just the biscuit and jam, please. Or no, scratch that and order one of everything. They have a jam bar in the back that has several different kinds of jams to choose from. (Sometimes we get an egg and cheese biscuit, too.)

Taco Billy
The Early Bird taco at Taco Billy is our favorite. These tacos are simply delicious – you don’t even need to even add salt or pepper. Speaking of tacos, have you seen our favorite places to get tacos in Asheville?

Tiger Bay Cafe
Y’all, some mornings the breakfast sandwich at Tiger Bay Cafe is the reason we get out of bed. Their breakfast sandwich is made with an everything bagel, cream cheese, avocado, egg and tomato. I swear just writing about it means I’m going to have to go get one right now.

Downtown

Over Easy Cafe
The Over Easy Cafe makes the best pancakes in town. Carson owns this place and she’s one of the nicest people you’ll meet in Asheville. Go pay her a visit and people watch at the tables outside. We think you’ll understand why this is one of our favorite places in town.

Asheville’s best breakfast spots

Have you been to any of these breakfast spots in Asheville or know one we should list? There are new places opening all the time so be sure to check back.
